http://www.stoughtonstatetheater.com/ This historic balconied theater, was first opened on December 8th, 1927.

The first film ever shown on it's screen was, " Smile, brother, Smile " starring Jack Mulhall and Dorothy Mackaill. Following that first evening of Hollywood glamor and vaudeville talent, The State Theater would go on to be the home of many happy memories and long remembered friends. From movies, to music, to Broadway caliber productions on it's stage, The State Theater was always a multi purpose entertainment facility, even when it's name was changed to the " Stoughton Cinema Pub.
